What to Do in Minden

It’s best to stay active whenever you can for optimal health – and if you know where to look, it isn’t hard to do around Minden.

  • Genoa Lakes Golf Club. Here, there are two unique golf courses situated two miles apart. You can play one or both – the Ranch Course with its stunning views of the Carson Valley or the Lakes Course featuring amazing wildlife and, unsurprisingly, gorgeous lakes.   
  • Sheridan Creek Equestrian Center. If golf isn’t your thing, maybe you would enjoy horseback riding more. At the Sheridan Creek Equestrian Center, you can bring the kids and take part in a fun riding lesson – or just opt for a short pony ride for your child. Either way, you’ll get sunshine and fresh air and perhaps even try something new. ” 
  • Van Sickle Bi-State Park. This park is extremely accessible via a short walk from the trailhead. There are trails here for a range of fitness levels, all featuring incredible views of the largest alpine lake in North America. You’ll see hikers, bikers, equestrians and more out enjoying the park.
